​Greyfriars Classical Academy Application 

Step One:  Application Checklist
  • Return the completed and signed application (pages 1–4)
  • Enclose the $200 application fee ($100 prior to January 30, 2023)
  • Enclose a copy of the student’s most recent grades and standardized test scores
  • Request that your church leader complete and return the pastoral reference (page 5)
Step Two:  Student/Parent Interview
  • After receiving your application, the headmaster will contact you to set up an interview with your student and one (or both) of the parents.
  • At the interview, which generally takes about 90 minutes, we will discuss your application and seek to get to know your student both academically and spiritually.

Step Three:  Board Review of Application
  • The Greyfriars Board receives a recommendation from the headmaster and will make a decision regarding your student’s application.
  • If additional information is requested by the Board, we will contact you.

Step Four:  Student Invited to Enroll
  • Upon Board approval, you will be invited to enroll your student at Greyfriars.

Step Five:  Registration
  • To enroll, complete the appropriate “New Registration” form and submit the signed registration along with the initial registration fee payment.
  • The initial registration fee holds your class seat(s) until April 28, by which time a final registration fee is due.  Tuition payments are made according to the schedule you indicate on your registration.

Our Refund Policy

  • Application Fee and Initial Registration Fee are Non-Refundable.
  • Final Registration Fee and tuition payments are Refundable, less $250*, until June 30.
  • Registration Fees are not transferable to other courses. Courses added require a new initial registration fee and a new final registration fee (not applicable to full-time students).
  • After June 30, courses dropped will not receive any final registration fee refund.
  • After June 30, until classes begin in August, tuition paid, less $500*, will be refunded. After classes begin in August there will be no tuition refunds*.
  • Students changing from full-time to part-time status will be refunded per the above policy, and must re-register as part-time students, subject to the then-applicable registration fees and tuition.
  • Auditing Fees are Non-Refundable.
* Except in the case of those who, as of the date of dropping a course, have paid ahead of the tuition payment schedule indicated on their registration, in which case the refund will include all tuition paid ahead of schedule, plus tuition paid according to schedule minus the amount indicated by the above policy. After December 1, there will be no tuition refunds.

Scholarship

  • Intended for students who otherwise could not afford to attend Greyfriars
  • Students can apply for a single scholarship each year, for up to four years of high school.
  • Ordinarily, up to three scholarships will be awarded for each high school grade level, one in the amount of $1,000, one for $2,500 and one for $3,750.
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on indicated financial need, in conjunction with an evaluation of a student’s academic, spiritual and social commitments.
  • Available to both full-time and part-time students (awards prorated for part-time students)
  • To apply for the 1-2-3 Scholarship Program, complete the regular application form (link here) and check the box requesting more information.
