Nathan Brinkerhoff

Nathan Brinkerhoff and his wife Julia have 6 children, ages 2-11. They live in Mint Hill and worship at Resurrection Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Matthews, NC. Nathan is an aircraft mechanic who works for American Airlines in their Maintenance Training Department. Prior to living in Mint Hill, the Brinkerhoff family served in Pucallpa, Peru, with South America Mission’s mission aviation ministry. Nathan has served on the board since 2017.​

Michael Cranford

Michael and his wife Anna have 3 children, two of whom currently attend Greyfriars Classical. He has served on the board since 2014. Michael is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy at Ronald Blue Trust, as well as a board member at Caleb Ministries in Matthews, NC. Michael and Anna are graduates of and advocates for Christian classical schools, and have been active in the classical Christian education movement through teaching and leadership roles for more than a decade.

Bronwyn Lund

Bronwyn and her husband, Jason, live in Charlotte along with two of their three children. Their eldest son, Aidan, is finishing college back in California (UCSD) from where they recently moved. Their middle son, Cullen, is a recent homeschool high school graduate and is beginning community college locally in Charlotte. Their youngest daughter, Millie Jane, attends GCA. Bronwyn previously served on the school board for Covenant Christian Academy in Westminster, CA from 2010-2018, and is a graduate from the CiRCE Institute’s Apprenticeship Program. She joined the GCA board in 2019.

Rev. T. Nathan Trice

​Pastor Nathan Trice has served on the board of GCA since its founding in 2009, and also teaches Theology in 9th and 11th grades. He is married to Dr. Ashley Trice, who serves as headmaster of Greyfriars Classical Tutorials and also teaches in the high school. Nathan has served as senior pastor of Resurrection Presbyterian Church (formerly Matthews OPC) since 1996, and he and Ashley have five children: Allie, Henry, Duncan, Tristan, and Owen – all of them either graduates or current students of Greyfriars!

Jeffrey J. Roach

Jeff and his wife, Erica, live in Matthews along with their two children, both of whom attend Greyfriars Classical.  Their family worships at Resurrection Presbyterian Church, where Jeff also serves as a deacon and as a music assistant to the Session.  He is Chief Economist for LPL Financial and has served on the Board of GCA since 2010 except for a one year hiatus while living in California. Jeff received his B. S. in Mathematics from Bob Jones University (1995) and his Ph. D. in Applied Economics from Clemson University (2008).  He also received a visiting research appointment in Economics at Harvard University from 2011-2012.

Paige Suclupe

Paige and her husband, Roger, live in Matthews along with their three children, the oldest of whom graduated from Greyfriars in 2022. She received a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in learning disabilities.  She taught children with special needs for six years before staying home after the birth of her first born.  While homeschooling her children, she has also tutored children with learning disabilities.  She has three children: Hannah, Matthew, and Michael.  The Suclupe family are members of Grace Church (PCA) in Harrisburg, NC.

Pastor of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 1999-2010

Rev. McGowan served the body of Christ as a pastor for more than a decade. John loves to teach and is blessed to be used by the Lord to advance the education of covenant children. John and his wife, Martita, have four children, the youngest of whom was adopted from Ukraine in late 2008. The oldest three (all Greyfriars graduates) are at college.
