Student Application (high school only)

Note: The following applies only to grades 9 -12 (the high school) for academic year 2026-2027.  For our homeschool Tutorial program (grades K - 8), please visit www.greyfriarstutorials.org/.

Currently, our 9th grade class is filled with returning current students. New applicants for grade 9 will be placed on our waitlist. Note that not all currently-registered students are sure to begin classes in the fall semester (a family might move away from Charlotte over the summer, or decide to enroll in a different school, etc.). Or, students might not take all of the classes offered, opening up individual seats for single subjects. For example, if a full-time 9th-grade student takes a higher math than 9th-grade Algebra (e.g. Geometry), then we will offer just the Algebra I seat to a family on the waitlist.

Step One:  Complete Online Application
  • Go to the online application page for grades 9 - 12 (available here)
  • Pay the then-current application fee
  • Submit a copy of the student’s most recent grades and standardized test scores

Step Two:  Student/Parent Interview
  • After receiving your application, the school will contact you to set up an interview with your student and one (or both) of the parents.
  • At the interview, which generally takes about 90 minutes, we will discuss your application and seek to get to know your student both academically and spiritually.

Step Three:  Board Review of Application
  • The Greyfriars Board receives a recommendation from the headmaster and will make a decision regarding your student’s application.
  • If additional information is requested by the Board, we will contact you.

Step Four:  Student Invited to Enroll (Register)
  • Upon Board approval, you will be invited to enroll your student at Greyfriars.

Step Five:  Register (enroll) your student online
